Think Comic-Con and you would not just think about the new comic releases, movie releases, games, but also about the various cosplay artists that you will get to see. Cosplay displays have long shed the image of being other means for a fan to show his love for his favorite character. Instead, it has become a profession!
Not just people from the West, but also from Japan have lapped up the concept, and fandom is incomplete without cosplay displays. Cosplay artists take up their jobs professionally and get all nuances of the character just right. All along these years, Uncanny X-Men have remained a favorite for the cosplay artists, and the choice and variation provided by X-Men have led to varied cosplay interpretations seen across the world. So, here is a consolidation of twelve best X-Men cosplay displays. Take a look:
Hugely popular (many thanks to Hugh Jackman), Fox’s X-Men fans dress up like him quite often. The look includes a grizzled beard look, with adamantium claws. The old school geeky fans dress up as the costumed avatar of Logan from the comics. Bat In The Sun includes Wolverine in their super power beatdown series, so that is another community of Wolverine fans. The high point of their life was his encounter with the Predator. And the females are not far behind.. they love Wolverine too!
A green and yellow jumpsuit, a short leather jacket and a head full of red and white hair! This version is one of the popular interpretations of Rogue seen for cosplay.Anna Paquin’s teenaged version of the character that looked almost anemic is not as hugely popular as the hair she wears. A red tangle with a shocking white crop on top is synonymous with the character. It is also difficult to achieve with real hair, so most prefer to wear a white wig, making the character look closer to eighties Bonnie Tyler/Heart style.
Angel has had a lot of costume changes over the years. With the change in his costume, the display at the comic conventions has also changed. If, on one day, you choose to dress up as Warren Worthington, the chances are that you will be only one in that avatar. But, you have to get the wings right, lest you end up looking like a Mole Man. Here is the inspirational avatar! Later, Angel got co-opted by Apocalypse, that gave him ‘screaming’ metal wings and could turn into the leader of his Horsemen, Death. After that, he loosened himself from Apocalypse and was rebranded as Archangel. This one was totally a badass avatar, and the kid here really tried to get it right.. even with these extended metal wings. Still cannot call him adorable, though!
