‘Coz Dr. Doom is not the only one…
For a good comic book movie, the correct portraying of the villain’s character is as important as that of a right hero. It has to be closely related to what the comic depicts it to be, and it is extremely necessary that the basic essence is not lost, but, unfortunately, it does not happen all the time. There is a long list of lame movie versions of some fantastically cool dark characters, and the most recent one has been Dr. Doom of the Fantastic Four reboot. In fact, this new Doom made the previously ridiculed ones look so much better. Following is a list of 13 most tedious versions of some incredibly interesting villains that the movies have ruined.
13. Baron Von Strucker
Age of Ultron was a movie that was overfed with too many characters and hence led to a compromise with the role of Baron Von Strucker. Even though Strucker was not an exemplary villain of the Marvel universe yet he did have some great abilities like his exceptional mastery of disguise, his extremely tactical mind and so on. The movie absolutely failed to do justice with this villain of the Marvel Universe.
One of the most memorable villains of the spider man comics, Electro was another doomed villain of the movies. His transformation from a simple spider man fan was shown to have happened by falling into a tank of eels. This could not have been worse, Spidey fans could not have been more disappointed.
11. Emma Frost
True that the writers did not give this character an engaging role but what actually got ‘Frost’ to fail is the acting of January Jones. This even got her to win the title of ‘fembot’ by many of her fans. She played this character nonsensically and without any magnetism in her personality.
