With the number of spin-off releases of the Doctor Who series by BBC, since its acclaimed revival in the 2000s had resulted in the Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood series. The former had received positive reviews while the latter has seemingly fallen from grace. With that, the recently announced Class has some pretty big shoes to fill, to live up to the hype. And so, here are a few ideas to make it better.
Since the end of Torchwood, the inclusion of U.N.I.T might be a more militarized approach to the Doctor Who series, which steers clear of outright violence. But the fact that it involves lot more scenes depicting Earth’s defense with the likes of Kate Lethbridge-Stewart and Osgood and other U.N.I.T members, this could definitely bring a second wind to the series.
7. Jago and Litefoot
In the fourth Doctor’s attempt to battle the war criminal Magnus Greel, he was assisted by Professor Litefoot and Henry Gordon Jago. The latter had seemingly become quite an investigative pair, and they were even brought up once again in one of the Big Finish audio drama series. While recasting for the parts won’t be hard for the series, it would certainly attract the attention of the long-standing fans.
