The Doctor Who spin-off, Classwhich is announced for 2016, is already getting lots of attention but after shows like The Sarah Jane AdventuresandTorchwood: Miracle Day the forthcoming spin-off has some extensively large shoes to fill. I hope it does, and I think it will as its predecessor spin-offs weren’t bad at all. They were catchy and consuming.
So after thinking about this, I came up with eight other ideas that might turn out to be equally good in the future. I really think that some of these should’ve already been planned and televised as these shows could be better than what we’ve seen so far.
A U.N.I.T. series about its operations could certainly be the paranormal version of The A-Team if Torchwood were the Doctor Who spin-off on the X-Files.
From the last few seasons, it seems that since Torchwood has left the airwaves, U.N.I.T. has been much more involved in the protection of Earth. It would be an immense exit from Doctor Who since the Doctor isn’t all that ready to go for violence and on the other hand U.N.I.T. is a military force so obviously they are. A spin-off for the U.N.I.T. wouldn’t even be its first as they have had a lot of stage plays and independent movies.
7. Litefoot and Jago
Professor and Litefoot and Henry Gordon Jago are an improbable pair of a police pathologist and theater owner respectively. They became a double investigative team somewhat. Even though, they didn’t still stand a chance against the Doctor; the rookie detective duo instantly started gaining fans attention. A spin-off for these 2 was being considered in the seventies.
Later on, the pair was never seen on the small screen again; they were reunited for Jago and Litefootaudio dramas that just released its 9th season in April 2015.
