Wolverine has been kept right next to Batman when it comes to fan base. Marvel has finally ended its much anticipated Mini Series “Death of Wolverine” few days back. There is hoard of wolverine fans, who have found the death of Wolverine to be fitting. But I personally didn’t like it; to me it looked a very simple death of a legendary character. I would have loved it, if it was written like Planet Hulk or something on the same scale. I was expecting the death of wolverine, when they made the character lose his healing factor sometime back in 2013. I guess, the time was perfect to end the life of this exemplary comic book hero, but it should have been in a stylistic yet raw manner, After all, it was Logan! Once I finishing up the book, I didn’t felt satisfied at all.
Death of Wolverine
I felt Wolverine was much more than this. You just can’t throw him in the puddle of Admantium and expect him to be all gone. He didn’t even chop any sentinels or rip off spines of vicious animals. This is not the way to kill the most dangerous, loudest and manliest character in the entire marvel universe. It should have been complex, loud, action packed and loaded with Logan’s bad ass dialogues reflecting his true personality. He died a very weak death in my honest opinion. As we all have witnessed it multiple times that the deaths of superheroes or cardinal villains is never permanent but marvel has advertised this miniseries in astronomical proportions so definitely he is not going to come back soon. This death must have suit well for Punisher or Doctor Stranger but not for Wolverine, not for the Logan, I knew. Bub!
