The Internet gives us the power of free speech. You can speak whatever you want without any restrictions, without fear of consequences, and this freedom is fantastic! We all need it, and we enjoy it, but then again too much of anything is not good because this same unmoderated freedom of speech becomes a way to bully people and act as a beacon of NEGATIVITY. It even becomes a hindrance to innovation and growth. People’s reaction to the new Mummy Movie is ridiculous.
Grow Up Bitch, And Get Out Of Your Mother’s Basement.
The Mummy franchise is getting a kind of reboot with Tom Cruise in it, and people think it is going to suck and they want Brendan Fraiser back! Well, last time when Mummy 3 kind of bombed at the box office, the so-called fans and audience didn’t want to see his face EVER, plus his whole career was into splits after that movie. Well, people who think this movie is not going to work just because an actor is not in the film, well, they need to MOVE THE FUCK ON! The nostalgia factor is making people behave in a very brash way; they want everything like they saw it for the first time when they were a kid. The need to attain the same experience, same elation, and same excitement. That’s gone, people. It’s not going to come back. You had a different mindset back then; you need to figure out new things and let people create new experiences for you and your children. You are not going get back old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Power Rangers, Contra, Ghostbusters, Super Mario or any of that, and even if you get the same product as the original, surely you will find a way to crib about lack of “Innovation.” That’s how our feeble minds are designed. Sorry to break it to you, but you are not a fucking kid anymore!
Future Of Fresh Content.
Give the creators some space and be more open about the fresh content. Don’t start mapping your past with the present, yeah it’s tough, but we have to get out of our echo chambers of Nostalgia if we want Hollywood to create something new. The producers know that we have a ceaseless craving for childhood memories, that’s why they keep on producing the same re-hashed shit, that eventually makes them money because ultimately all of us will go to watch those movies. Tom Cruise is one of the best actors in the world, why the hell would you think, he’s going to make the film bad? Just because you don’t have Brendan Fraser, doesn’t mean the movie is going to be bad. Go ahead enjoy the teaser trailer below :-
