Sons of Anarchy may have got over, but the show let its imprint in the mind of its audience. The ups and downs of Jax Teller’s gang of biker outlaws quickly became a landmark show in Popular culture, and its appeal is far from dead. This has prompted its maker to create a spin-off of SOA. The show dealt with drug deals, gang shootouts and mayhem and delighted the viewers for seven seasons and 92 episodes full of sharp twists and turns to leave them in awe. But which among these 92 episodes come in the absolute top 10? Let’s find out.
10. The Sleep Of Babies [Season 1, Episode 12]
By this time, the show had developed a reputation for being twisty-turny, but this was the first episode where the writers showed real guts. They showed that no character, major or minor is killable, if the script demands it. Nor did they fear to create rifts between members and huge turns when least expected.
Convinced that Opie was a rat, Clay sent Tig to kill him without the rest of the gang knowing about it. Tig accidentally ends up blowing Donna’s head and Opie escapes. This brutal scene set the tone for the future as Opie, Jax, Tig and Bobby all felt the repercussions of Clay’s decisions especially after it was revealed that Opie never sold the gang out.
9. Albification [Season 2, Episode 1]
The show can be very unrelenting in terms of how dark in can be. Donna’s killing was followed by another brutal episode in the debut of the next season. A neo-nazi group attacked and raped Gemma as a warning to stop the club from selling weapons to minorities. Gemma is a cool character in season 1, and her character is further developed here by showing how important she is as a matriarch of the SOA group. The show is known for its fast-paced chases, but Albification added another layer to it by showing that SOA also has the emotional depth to it.
