There are pros and cons to everything in life; the same holds true for serials. Undoubtedly, The Big Bang Theory happens to be a smashing success but there is backlash as well. There are valid grounds for criticizing the show. For example, the show has void, trivial and stereotyped sexual jokes. In addition to this, male characters lack social skills and the humorous tomfoolery they find themselves in lost its sheen long ago. Speaking of male characters, Sheldon Cooper is one whom the audiences just love to abhor. He happens to pull the show down with his sluggish and backward character development. Wonder if the finale will show Cooper having “it” with Amy? I mean, is it that crass? With Penny going in for a new hairstyle in the show, it seems the serial needs a good shake up and what could be a better shake up than having Sheldon Cooper killed?
10. Doesn’t Have Anywhere To Go
If you look at all the other male characters, they’ve reached a certain place. You have seen Howard getting married, Leonard and Penny have announced their marriage plans and Raj is confident enough to talk about women without being under the influence of alcohol. But Sheldon? The only thing you see is his closeness with Amy. Added to this is his mid-life crisis which was a little interesting but highly frustrating since it took seven seasons for Cooper to reach this point! What a bore!
9. Selfish Nature
Initially, when the show began, it was hilarious to see Sheldon unaware of his friend’s needs. He happened to live in his own little world. However, as the series progressed, he became aware of their needs and thoughts and ignored them! How selfish is that?! Oh yes, I forgot to mention the Extract Obliteration where he gives just about enough time to listen to Leonard’s troubles as the chess timer. Once the clock stops, he bursts forth with his own troubles. Ewww….
